9.2 inch Howitzer

The guns still in service in 1939 were the 1916 model. The weapon was transported on 3 transport wagons towed by traction engines. Some guns went to France in 1940 where they were all lost, the remainder werre employed as anti-invasion defences on the south east coast of England. Declared obsolete in Aug 1945 they were little used, even for training after mid 1942.
