| I do not have records of individuals unless they happen to be mentioned by name in one of my books. Therefore, before I can trace an individuals service I need to know the unit(s) of the RA in which they served.
The first step is to obtain (if you do not already have it) the individuals Service Record. This should list the units to which the person was posted, with dates.
Service records for personnel enlisted before 1920 are held by the National Archive (Public Record Office)
Records for those enlisted after 1920 are available from the Veterans Agency . These are only released to the service person or next of kin (or with the permission of the next of kin).
Please provide as much information as possible with your enquiry to me - unit, dates, places etc.
